Packers fans can only laugh at possible Aaron Rodgers alternative for Vikings

And what's a better way to start the week than a good laugh?

It's getting sad at this point, right?

As yet another week begins, Aaron Rodgers is still without a team. You'd think someone who wants to continue playing in the NFL would feel the need to be employed by one of the NFL's teams, but Rodgers has always done things differently.

There's still plenty of time for him to eventually end up on the Steelers, which is less an assurance to any last Rodgers fans out there and more a bleak reflection on how long this could continue on. It does, though, feel like the window's closed on him going to back up JJ McCarthy in Minnesota. Sad! Watching Rodgers roll his eyes on the sideline and slowly ruin the vibes of an ascending division rival would have been a cathartic collective experience.

That leaves the QB2 spot in Minnesota wide open (no offense to Brett Rypien), which brings us to the punchline of this blog. Easton Freeze over at A to Z Sports listed potential options for where the Tennessee Titans could trade Will Levis, and I bet you can guess who made a cameo.

Vikings' trade for Will Levis would be the perfect offseason twist for Packers fans

"I'm including the Vikings in the Strong Candidates tier because while I think a trade will be pursued by the Titans before we get past draft weekend, I'm certainly not ruling out a trade finally coming together later in the summer," writes Freeze. "Everything about this landing spot makes sense besides 2025 available picks: the coach and scheme, their QB culture, their desire for more than what they currently have on the roster. It's a very good fit."

In a way, I kinda see it; Levis plays a lot like a bizarro version of Rodgers that never figured the NFL out.

Even with the Vikings' growing reputation as a place where QBs can go to revive their careers, the idea of moving on from 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers to Will Levis is objectively hilarious. Minnesota's six bad games from a major QB crisis next season, and I love that for them.
