While fans of the Green Bay Packers naturally get great enjoyment from watching their team succeed, they also get a kick out of watching the rival Chicago Bears fail.
And make no mistake about it. There's been plenty of failure in the Windy City in recent years, as the Bears have gone 21-47 over the past four seasons, with seven of those losses coming at the hands of the Packers.
As the lone team from the NFC North not to make the playoffs this past season, Chicago went out and hired a new head coach in Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who most believe will work wonders with second-year quarterback Caleb Williams, who had his problems en route to posting a 5-12 record, but had a solid enough rookie campaign after the Bears made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft.
But if the first official practice of Bears training camp is any indication of how the 2025 campaign is going to go, Packers fans should prepare for a lot of laughter.
Because there's certainly a lot of that happening right now, as Williams saw the very first pass he threw in 11-on-11 drills intercepted by Tremaine Edmunds.
But the entertainment didn't stop there, as Williams and the entire first-team offense were yanked off the field when the unit couldn't get lined up properly for 7-on-7 drills, with Johnson reportedly yelling, "You're out!"

Yes, it's just one single day of practice. And only the first practice. But given all the offseason hype about how Johnson and Williams are going to magically turn the Bears into an instant contender, this obviously isn't the greatest start to that process.
To his credit, Johnson kicking the first-team offense off the field on the very first day proves he's all about business and has zero issues about holding his players accountable, no matter who it is.
That said, however, one has to wonder how Williams' confidence will be affected if this continues. As a No. 1 overall pick, there's naturally plenty of pressure that comes along with that status. And given the Bears' dreadful history at the quarterback position, there's even more pressure on him to perform.
And now with an offensive guru like Johnson as his head coach, a revamped offensive line, and a plethora of weapons at his disposal, Williams is under more scrutiny than maybe any quarterback who has ever worn a Bears uniform.
Again, this was one practice. But Packers fans undoubtedly like what they're seeing thus far.
