The Acrisure Stadium field has come under fire all season. The Green Bay Packers play the Pittsburgh Steelers there on Sunday Night Football tonight, only a day after the stadium hosted a Pitt-NC State game.
Pre-game photos from reporters show the field not looking in great shape, which has Packers fans wondering whether it's the right call to bring Christian Watson back. Green Bay has activated Watson from the PUP list, setting up his highly anticipated return from a torn ACL.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky posted on X that "the field doesn't look great."
This photo from ESPN's Brooke Pryor highlights how poor the conditions look ahead of tonight's game. Brooke writes: "Field doesn't look quite as great from a birdseye view in the press box. Looks like there's some dry patches in the sod."

Pre-game images of Acrisure Stadium turf leave Packers fans concerned ahead of Christian Watson's return
The Acrisure Stadium grass has been criticized all season, with players often slipping on the surface. It doesn't seem like a particularly smart idea to have a college game played there around 24 hours before Sunday Night Football. Two weeks ago, Aaron Rodgers said the field had become "borderline unplayable."
The Packers will have been well aware of that — Matt LaFleur even faced questions about the field earlier this week — but it has left some fans concerned about bringing back Watson for this game. Should they wait until Week 9, when the Carolina Panthers come to Lambeau Field?
Ross Uglem of Packer Report posted on X that he "would like 7 more days" for Watson while quoting a post about the field conditions.
The Packers face other injury questions tonight, including wide receiver Matthew Golden, who is playing with a hip issue that he suffered during Friday's practice.
Hopefully, both teams avoid injury in what promises to be an epic contest. Watson will likely be on a snap count, but he is expected to play for the first time since Week 18.
