Jordan Love is carrying the Green Bay Packers' offense.

He has no run game, no offensive line, and no kicker to help him out. Love also doesn't have the national recognition to back him up as other quarterbacks do. Tom Brady sees it, though. He believes Love has taken another step and is having the best season of his career. More on that in a moment.

A pressing question among Packers fans is why Kevin Zeitler can't get a snap at right guard. Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich gave an in-depth answer.

Let's get into it.

Tom Brady on Jordan Love: 'This is the best of his career'

Tom Brady will be on the call for FOX when the Packers visit the New England Patriots this weekend. He appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and had some high praise for Jordan Love.

Brady spoke about how Love has been a "streaky" passer at times in his career and had some "volatile throws," but he's not seeing that this season. With a lack of a run game putting more pressure on Love, Brady believes it has helped him reach new heights this season.

"It's been like, 'We're going to put it on your shoulders, and you're going to have to carry us.' And he goes into practice every day knowing it's about his level of execution that's going to make the offense go, and he's just done a great job of that," Brady said.

"I think he's throwing the ball out of the pocket, in the pocket, down the field. He's seeing things so well. Coach LaFleur has got a ton of confidence in him," he added. "Jordan Love's just playing exeptional football. Again, this is the best of his career."

Where would the Packers be without Love this season?

It's an understatement to say they can't run the ball. The rushing offense is trending toward a historically bad year, his offensive line is arguably the worst in the NFL, the Packers lead the league in drops, and Trey Smack has missed eight field goals. But Love has still thrown for an NFL-best 2,246 yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Love has put the offense on his back, and that's probably going to be a requirement for the remainder of the season.

Adam Stenavich reveals why Kevin Zeitler hasn't played yet

Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich spoke to reporters on Tuesday and said he was "frustrated" with the struggling rushing attack, but believes they can turn it around.

Will that involve giving Kevin Zeitler an opportunity? The Packers signed Zeitler a month ago, but he surprisingly hasn't featured at right guard. Stenavich offered an explanation.

"When we signed him, he was coming off an injury with his knee, so it was kind of a question mark," Stenavich said. "I think it took him a few weeks to get to the point where he's at right now where he was kind of working his way back into it. What happened was Laken [Tomlinson] came in and really did a tremendous job, just coming in and really helping out our team and helping out our offensive line."

"It just was one of those things where I thought he was going to come in and play, but Laken stepped up and did a nice job, and it is what it is right now. Would I hesitate to put him in a game? No, I would not. He's ready to play."

That's all well and good, but let's break down what really happened against the Carolina Panthers last week: The Packers kept Zeitler out of the lineup to make room for Aaron Banks, not Tomlinson.

Tomlinson had started at left guard and was performing at a high level. Then right guard Travis Glover got hurt, while Banks was cleared to return. Instead of keeping Tomlinson at left guard and having Zeitler take Glover's spot at right guard, the Packers chose to give Banks his job back while sliding Tomlinson to the left side.

Per Pro Football Focus, Banks allowed four pressures while receiving a team-low 39.5 run-blocking grade. The solution? Put Tomlinson back at left guard, and give Zeitler an opportunity.

Packers sign three players to the practice squad

The Packers have announced the signing of three new players to the practice squad: edge rusher D.J. Johnson, quarterback Cam Miller, and safety John Saunders Jr.

The Carolina Panthers selected Johnson in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and he's since spent time with the Washington Commanders. Johnson has played 31 games in the NFL, tallying 677 defensive snaps, but he's managed only half a sack and one quarterback hit.

Green Bay needed to add another quarterback, as the Baltimore Ravens signed Kedon Slovis off the Packers' practice squad after losing Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley to injury.

Miller was a sixth-round pick with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025. The Miami Dolphins signed him off the Raiders' practice squad late last year, but he had a rough showing in the preseason this summer, throwing for 170 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions, with a 33.9 passer rating.

Perhaps he can benefit from joining a quarterback room with Jordan Love and Tyrod Taylor.

November 4, 2007: Brett Favre makes history in Packers' win over Chiefs

With 3:13 remaining in regulation, the Packers trailed the Chiefs 22-16. No problem. That was enough time for Green Bay to add 17 points to its tally and win 33-22.

Brett Favre hit a beautiful deep pass off his back foot, the kind of play we get to enjoy with Jordan Love, to Greg Jennings for a 60-yard touchdown. The Packers would extend their lead to four points with a Mason Crosby field goal with 1:44 remaining, before Charles Woodson sealed it with a pick-six.

Favre secured his first career victory over the Chiefs, making him only the third quarterback in NFL history to defeat all 31 teams. At the time, only Tom Brady and Peyton Manning had done so.
