You know that one couple in your life? The one that everyone is sure is about to break up? It's no one's fault, really – they're just not good for each other. But first they're going to invite you over for game night and make everything nice and awkward for three hours?

Packers fans know that couple. They see the way that the Packers and Jaire Alexander interact with each other in public and can't help but gossip behind their backs about how much better they'd be with other people. In fact, some of their closest friends are already trying to set them up with other people.
But, in the most predictable twist in the history of relationships, we may have a backslide on our hands. According to ESPN's Packers reporter Rob Demovsky, a breakup isn't as imminent as everyone originally thought. Alexander and the front office may have finally worked out their differences. Yay?
So Jaire Alexander and the Packers might not be breaking up after all?
"According to a source, the Packers and Jaire Alexander continue to talk about a possible resolution, which could include a reconciliation to where Alexander plays for the Packers in 2025 after all," he said. "All options are still on the table: release, trade or return."
Demovsky very obviously has well-placed connections within the organization, so it's not like this is some random report from a podcaster looking to cash in on those sweet, sweet RTs. Still, this comes across like Alexander and the Packers just got back from a nice, overdue weekend getaway and suddenly feel like they can make it work again. Like that nice therapist once told them, communication is key if they want to make it work. It's an everyday effort.
And last but certainly not least, that's an all-time great hedge from Demovsky at the end. A possible resolution! Whoa! Oh, and by the way, every single option is still on the table. He might play for the Packers, he might not. He might play for someone else, he might not. And really, how much does it matter – will the sun even rise tomorrow? All options are still on the table.
Considering where both sides publicly stood before the draft, the idea that Alexander could actually return and play in Green Bay next season is plenty notable; people were sure he was getting traded during draft weekend. Maybe he still will. That's the beauty of every option still being on the table: it allows you to say anything you want, and nothing at all.
