The Green Bay Packers have made some big moves in the early stages of the 2025 NFL offseason, paying big money to land a new starting guard in Aaron Banks and handing out a four-year contract to cornerback Nate Hobbs. The work still isn't done for Brian Gutekunst, however.

The Packers could use one more playmaker in the secondary, and the defensive line is still a few ticks shy of elite. Both a new defensive tackle and edge rusher could be used to boost Jeff Hafley's defense.

Green Bay has some very clear needs that need to be addressed in the next few months, and this 3-round NFL Mock Draft should be one very prudent way to find multiple new starters without cutting off a finger to move up in the draft order.

Green Bay Packers 3-round post-free agency NFL Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 23: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Barron may benefit from a weak cornerback class, but his versatility and playmaking on the ball are starting to make him such a desirable prospect that there's no chance he will make it out of the first round. Barron is such a hot name that there's a good chance Green Bay may need to trade up to select him.

Barron's short-area quickness is exceptional, and his ability to combine those physical skills with a sharp football brain and aggressive style of play should help check many of the boxes Green Bay is looking for in their top cornerbacks.

Round 2, Pick 54: Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State

The Packers' need for a secondary pass rusher is almost as dire as the need for more cornerback talent. With the 2025 class becoming heralded for the depth and quality of their defensive line collection, Green Bay could land an immediate starter like Sawyer later in the second round.

Sawyer will never be confused with Abdul Carter due to his rigid style and lack of A+ athleticism, but he is one of the strongest defensive ends in this class and has a very deep toolbox of pass rush moves. Even as a rookie, Sawyer can be counted on to both defend the run and get after the quarterback.

Round 3, Pick 87: Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State

The Packers have had some strong defensive tackle play in the last few years, likely due to their ability to constantly add and develop young talent in this area. With TJ Slaton now in Cincinnati, Green Bay would be wise to use a Top 100 pick on his eventual replacement in Farmer.

Farmer will be a solid pass rusher in the pros, as his ability to blow by linemen with a quick first step. If he managed to improve in his ability to shed blocks when trying to stuff the run, Farmer may end up becoming a starting defensive tackle in Green Bay by his second season.
