We love a rendering.

I feel like not enough people remember that this year's draft is happening in Green Bay. Maybe that's just because I don't live in Wisconsin and I don't totally have a good sense of what they're talking about up north, but I've seen less about this year's draft than, say, when it was in Detroit last year.

Having the draft at Lambeau Field is going to be one of the cooler moments from the upcoming year in Green Bay, and the Packers kicked things off on Thursday morning with the first official, team-made sneak peek into how the whole setup is going to look. The team released three different renderings of how the staging may look, including one VERY optimistic rendering that has people outside, apparently? In northern Wisconsin? In mid-April? They did nail Green Bay's total lack of mid-day sunlight in that picture, though.

Packers' first reveal of how the 2025 NFL Draft will look is a fun way to spend 5 minutes

"It's exciting to see these renderings. The draft is really starting to take shape," Packers President Mark Murphy said in a story published on the team's website. "It looks like a great setup. All fans and attendees will be treated to an exciting event, and we're proud to have Lambeau Field featured so prominently."

It IS exciting to see these renderings, and not just because it's the middle of February and there's literally nothing even remotely interesting to talk about right now. I mean, it is mostly because of that, but not entirely. Moving the Draft to different NFL venues across the country was one of the NFL's better ideas, and the having the Packers' history displayed so prominently during one of the league's biggest events will surely be a cool moment for everyone involved.

All that being said: come on, Packers. We need more than three renderings. This would have been a perfect opportunity to troll anyone in the NFC North, too – there are a thousand different little details that could have gone towards that. I get that they're [puts on most professional voice] The Green Bay Packers, but mid-February Draft stage renderings are such a deeply unimportant piece of content, and would have been perfect for a little light rivalry stoking. At the very least, now you know how some AI generator thinks the Packers' Draft Day setup will look.
