The Green Bay Packers need to come to terms with the fact that they need one more offseason of high-end additions at positions of need before they can be considered a contender in the NFC. As currently constructed, Green Bay doesn't have the defensive juice or support around Jordan Love to compete.

The Packers have one of the worst pass rushes in the NFC, need to reboot their secondary as Jaire Alexander departure rumors start to swirl overhead, and need one or two more solid offensive linemen to build Love a wall up front that helps mitigate any possible flaws he has under pressure.

In this 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Packers would breathe new life into their already strong defense. Brian Gutekunst has proven to be a much better drafter on the offensive side of the ball, and he'll need to overcome his demons on the defensive side to push Green Bay back into contention.

Green Bay Packers 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 23: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Barron may be listed as a cornerback, but his versatility helped him do a little bit of everything in his final season with the Longhorns. With Alexander's future up in the air, Barron looks like a player the Packers can slot in just about anywhere and instantly get top-end production.

One of the best tackling defensive backs in this class, Barron pairs his hard-hitting style with sticky man coverage and the demeanor you need to be a top-flight cornerback in this league. With or without Alexander, Green Bay could build an elite secondary with Barron in the mix.

Round 2, Pick 54: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss

Outside of Rashan Gary, Green Bay's defensive line is one of the weakest areas on the team. The lack of speed on the edge has been a problem for a while, and Umanmielen's ability to blow past tackles and pile up the pressures will make him a very interesting Day 2 target the Packers can use immediately on passing downs.

Umanmielen is an experienced pass rusher with great bend who has made some tangible strides as a run defender. The Packers typically value players with multiple years of experience at SEC schools, and Umanmielen more than fits the bill of what this team could and should be looking for.

Round 3, Pick 87: Anthony Belton, OT, North Carolina State

The Packers have normally been very proactive about adding offensive line depth, an area that could be even more important as they try to help Love go from a good quarterback to a great one in his third year as the starter. A Senior Bowl riser, Belton is a Day 2 player with serious starting potential.

Belton's game is all about power, as he is 340 pounds and looks every bit of it when trying to make blocks in open space. While that might not be super appealing for Matt LaFleur's offensive style, bigger offensive linemen could be in vogue now after the Eagles' mammoth line pushed them to a Super Bowl.
