Green Bay Packers fans have enjoyed all of the Aaron Rodgers drama that's continued taking place since he left Wisconsin two years ago, mostly because they don't have to directly deal with it anymore. The latest drama is that Rodgers is still left unsigned but it feels like it'll either be the Pittsburgh Steelers or no one for the former Packers signal-caller in 2025.
When Rodgers spoke to Pat McAfee a few weeks ago about what was taking him so long to sign with the Steelers, he gave a few reasons. One of those reasons was that he was in a serious relationship, which was surprising to people considering he's usually been very open with the relationships he's been in.
McAfee had Ian Rapoport on his show earlier in the week and the two discussed Rodgers' appearance at the Kentucky Derby over the weekend. Rapoport said that he didn't get a chance to speak with Rodgers but noted that he looked good. Soon, the conversation flipped to Rodgers reportedly having a ring on his finger. This prompted McAfee to come up with his own theory.
Pat McAfee has his own theories about Aaron Rodgers
"It looked like it was a wedding ring or maybe he got engaged," McAfee said. "Maybe somebody got engaged to him. Maybe they flipped the script and said 'Hey, who says it has to be one way to the other?' Maybe somebody got engaged to him and said, 'Aaron will you take this ring and be with me forever?' And Aaron said, 'Yes I will.' and then they'll 'I do' it later, who knows?"
McAfee's theory isn't the craziest in this day in age but there are also rumors swirling that the former Packers quarterback could have gotten married as well. Would it really surprise anyone if Rodgers did this in secret without anyone knowing? This is the same guy who went into a darkness retreat so would a secret hush-hush wedding really shock anyone?
Whatever is going on with Rodgers and his new ring, one thing's for sure and that's that it's far more entertaining hearing about Rodgers when he's not the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers.
