2. Safety

Green Bay has plenty of options at safety, but it's unclear who will start this season.

Darnell Savage is coming off a disappointing 2022 that briefly saw him lose his starting job to Rudy Ford. He has one year remaining on his contract. Ford could start, but that's no guarantee, either.

New addition Jonathan Owens will compete for the job, having started all 17 games for the Houston Texans last season.

Tarvarius Moore, Dallin Leavitt, and Tariq Carpenter play most of their snaps on special teams, while Anthony Johnson Jr. is a rookie.

While the Packers have depth at safety, it's not the most exciting group. They will miss Adrian Amos, who it seems the team has moved on from. Green Bay needs to figure out who starts next to Darnell Savage and which safeties make the initial 53-man roster this summer.

And with six safeties entering the final year of their contract, the Packers could need to make even more changes at the position next offseason.

The Packers have enough talent to get by at safety this year, but that's it. Losing Amos hurts the defense and they will struggle to replace him in the secondary this season.
