1. David Bakhtiari, T

Unlike the other two players, David Bakhtiari's contract isn't expiring next offseason, but there are a few reasons why this could be his final year in Green Bay.

Bakhtiari turns 31 in September and hasn't completed a full regular season since 2019. The five-time All-Pro is a franchise legend and has given the Packers years of dominant play, but moving on is probably in the best interest of everyone.

The Packers have made a point of getting younger this offseason, replacing several veterans with rookies. Part of that is to help their salary cap. Not including the dead money the Packers will pay for Aaron Rodgers' deal, Bakhtiari now has the highest cap hit on the entire roster. According to Over The Cap, in 2024 his cap hit will increase to $40.58 million.

It's in the Packers' best interest to get that number lower. For Bakhtiari, the opportunity to finish his career with a contending team is more favorable than staying in Green Bay. The Packers aren't likely to compete for a Super Bowl in the next couple of seasons.

Whether that means finding a trade partner this year or next offseason, or releasing the All-Pro tackle next spring, it seems almost certain that Bakhtiari won't play for the Packers in 2024.
