3 Packers fan favorites who won't be back with team in 2024
The Green Bay Packers have moved on from several fan favorites this offseason.
Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, and Allen Lazard are among the Packers players to leave. All three now play for the New York Jets.
Mason Crosby, Marcedes Lewis, and Adrian Amos remain unsigned, but it seems highly unlikely any of them will be back in Green Bay this season.
Moving on from fan favorites is never easy, but Packers GM Brian Gutekunst has to make those challenging decisions. Unfortunately for the fans, three more of their favorite players could be leaving Green Bay in the near future.
3 Packers fan favorites who could be gone in 2024: AJ Dillon
'The Mayor of Door County' is entering a contract year this season. Draft analysts heavily criticized the Packers for selecting AJ Dillon in the second round three years ago, but he has silenced those doubters.
Dillon's powerful style has complemented Aaron Jones in the backfield. Over the past two seasons, Dillon has rushed for 1,573 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught 62 passes for 519 yards and two scores.
The Packers need to decide whether he can lead the backfield in 2024 if Aaron Jones isn't back.
Dillon averages a healthy 4.3 yards per carry, but he has only started five games in his career. He splits carries with Jones, but could he lead the way for the Packers?
Another factor to consider is the contract. Even with Aaron Rodgers' deal off the books in 2024, the Packers will have to limit their spending in free agency.
They may choose to bring back Dillon, but it's no guarantee.
