1. Jake Hanson

Where does Jake Hanson fit into the Packers' plans? He is nowhere near a starting job. Either Josh Myers or Zach Tom will start at center. Elgton Jenkins and Jon Runyan Jr. are the projected starters at guard, with Royce Newman and Sean Rhyan providing depth.

Rhyan showed some promise during Tuesday's practice. According to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Rhyan went a perfect 5-0 in one-on-one reps against rookie defensive lineman Colby Wooden.

Further hurting Hanson's chances is an elbow injury that has kept him out of practice.

On Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reported that the Packers have signed center Cole Schneider, another sign the Packers may plan to move on from Hanson. The signing could be just to cover for injury, but Schneider could also replace Hanson as a backup center. We'll see.

The hope is that Hanson isn't out for too long and can make an impact during the preseason, showing potential as a backup offensive lineman.

Hanson has experience at guard and center, but he has struggled in limited opportunities for the Packers in the regular season. With no obvious openings at either position this summer, Hanson may struggle to make the Packers' 53-man roster.
