3 Packers players whose stock has fallen ahead of 2023 training camp
Which three Green Bay Packers players haven't made the best start to the summer?
It's always important not to overreact during the offseason program. However, some Green Bay Packers players have seen their stock fall in recent weeks.
The Packers completed their offseason program earlier this month and will return for training camp on July 26.
Training camp and the preseason is what counts the most as the Packers prepare for the new season. However, every practice is important. Every rep helps, especially for the young players. Jordan Love needs to throw as many passes as possible on the practice field to his new-look receiving corps.
A lot can and will change between now and the end of training camp. But after the Packers' offseason program, which players have seen their stock fall?
Jayden Reed, WR
It's hardly time to panic, far from it. But one name we haven't heard much about is second-round pick Jayden Reed. There have been standout performances from other young receivers on the roster, like Malik Heath and Samori Toure, but not much from Reed, who is a projected starter this season.
"There hasn't been anything that's made me go, 'Wow, look what Jayden Reed did.' It's been a little too pedestrian through the first five practices," said Andy Herman of the Pack-A-Day podcast.
Now, Herman did make the point to stress how early it is and that he's not concerned about Reed, adding that he is "extremely high" on him.
But it's still notable. There have been countless reports from the offseason program about impressive plays the young receivers are making, but not much about Reed.
Hopefully, that changes once training camp gets underway.
