4 former Packers players who are still surprisingly free agents
There are a number of talented former Green Bay Packers players still available in free agency.
At this stage of the offseason, teams have made the majority of their player acquisitions via free agency and the draft. Now, the attention shifts to organized team activities, minicamp, and eventually training camp.
However, several talented players remain free agents, ready to help a team that signs them this summer. That list includes several former Green Bay Packers players.

4. Marcedes Lewis
A return to Green Bay might not be likely, but Marcedes Lewis can still help a contender. The New York Jets have signed several former Aaron Rodgers teammates, including Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb. It's somewhat surprising they haven't brought in Lewis. Not yet, at least.
Lewis doesn't need to be a full-time player. When he is on the field, Lewis provides outstanding blocking with some pass-catching ability.
He is also a tremendous leader. For a team looking to win it all this season, like the Jets, having Lewis in the locker room could make a massive difference.
Lewis recently turned 39, so he may decide to step away from football. But there have been no signs of Lewis retiring. He remains a free agent and could help a number of teams.
