5 Packers legends who would dominate on the 2023 team
There are some excellent cornerback duos in the NFL. The New York Jets have Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed, the Miami Dolphins have Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard. The Packers, too, have a great starting trio with Jaire Alexander, Rasul Douglas, and Eric Stokes.
But there would be no better cornerback duo than Alexander and Herb Adderley.
Adderley was a game-changer for the Packers under Vince Lombardi. During his nine years in Green Bay, Adderley played in 125 games, making 112 starts. He made an incredible 39 interceptions, returning seven for touchdowns.
He was a five-time NFL champion and two-time Super Bowl champion with the Packers. Like Forrest Gregg, he won a third Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys. Adderley was a five-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro.
The Packers already have plenty of talent at cornerback, but Adderley would step right into the starting lineup next to Jaire Alexander. Together, they would give quarterbacks nowhere to throw to.
Adderley is one of the Packers' all-time greats. He is a Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer and part of the NFL 1960s All-Decade Team.
A cornerback duo of Herb Adderley and Jaire Alexander would be unstoppable in the 2023 team.
