4. Will McDonald IV, EDGE, Iowa State

Another player to watch in the opening two rounds is Iowa State pass rusher Will McDonald IV. The Packers need to strengthen their pass-rush depth in the draft.

McDonald would perfectly complement Rashan Gary and Preston Smith. They often win with power, whereas McDonald often wins with speed.

"McDonald is an elite bender coming off the edge," wrote NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah.

There are areas to improve, but McDonald could start out as part of the rotation, with Gary and Smith starting. Gary started his Packers career the same way, No. 3 on the depth chart behind Za'Darius and Preston Smith.

In time, McDonald can become an excellent starter alongside Gary.

He was productive at Iowa State. He made 10.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 2020, 11.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 2021, and five sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss last season. He featured in 48 games for Iowa State.

McDonald will likely be drafted either late in the first round or early in the second. Green Bay may have the opportunity to select him on Day 2. He would help Joe Barry's defense from Day 1 in a backup role, but could eventually become an excellent starter.
