2. Zach Tom ahead of Yosh Nijman at right tackle

The right tackle competition is one of the most fascinating at training camp. Yosh Nijman started 13 games for the Packers last season, but Zach Tom showed promise as a rookie.

Tom's versatility means he can play across the offensive line, although he has looked comfortable at right tackle. Wherever he lines up, head coach Matt LaFleur needs to find a starting role for Tom, as he is too talented to miss out.

And it appears to be advantage Tom in the right tackle competition.

Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette noted that Tom played first-team reps at right tackle throughout Wednesday's practice. That's notable, as the two had been splitting time in the first team during the offseason workout program.

It's something to watch. Maybe it will be Nijman's turn to get first-team reps at the next practice. We'll see.

If Tom doesn't start at right tackle, center is an option. The Athletic's Matt Schneidman noted that he spent some third-team reps at center on Wednesday.

One option for LaFleur is to start Tom at center, allowing Nijman to retain the right tackle job. The Packers have options. It will be interesting to see how the right tackle competition plays out.
