Jordan Love is earning more money than Aaron Rodgers. That's going to take some getting used to.

Love signed a four-year extension worth $220 million, an incredible $55 million per year that ties the league-high.

He was Rodgers' backup in Green Bay for three seasons, patiently awaiting his opportunity. Despite not loving the Packers' decision to draft a quarterback, Rodgers was always fully supportive of his eventual successor, becoming a mentor, leader, and good friend.

Love learned a lot from the four-time MVP, and Rodgers continues to support his former teammate as he embarks on a journey similar to his own with the Packers.

Rodgers texted Love after the Packers beat the Chicago Bears in Week 1 and again before his playoff debut. And the future Hall of Famer had nothing but love for his former teammate after he became the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers shouts out Jordan Love after signing massive extension with Packers

Appearing on NFL Network from New York Jets training camp, Rodgers sent the perfect message to Love after his record-breaking deal.

"I want to give a shoutout to Jordan Love for becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL," said Rodgers. "J-Love, don't spend it all in one place, but if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay that's up for sale."

It's amazing to see. Since leaving Green Bay, Rodgers has continued to praise Love and give him a shoutout after each milestone. He's like a proud older brother.

Rodgers understands what Love has experienced in Green Bay. Fifteen years earlier, he was in the exact same position, getting drafted while the Packers still had a Hall of Famer leading the offense. Rodgers had to wait three years before watching the veteran starter get traded to the Jets. Sound familiar?

Like Rodgers, Love has earned a huge new deal after his first season as a starter.

Rodgers may be in New York, but he continues to show love to his former teammates in Green Bay.
