Packers could trade Aaron Rodgers elsewhere if Jets deal isn't done before the draft

Aaron Rodgers may have stated his intention to play for the Jets, but if the Packers are made to keep waiting, why not pick up the phone to other quarterback-needy teams?

There's always the risk Rodgers says no and a deal can't be made, but would he turn down the opportunity to play for the Miami Dolphins or San Francisco 49ers?

Like New York, Miami has a playoff roster, and Rodgers would get to throw to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in one of the league's best offenses. In San Francisco, Rodgers would get to play for the team he grew up rooting for. The Niners are an NFC powerhouse and would be unstoppable with the four-time MVP.

Neither team has a 2023 first-round pick to offer, but a deal after the draft could make perfect sense, as they could offer 2024 picks. Maybe one of the two would be willing to outbid the Jets. It would especially make sense for the Dolphins, as they would flip the possibility of Rodgers becoming a division rival to leading their own offense.

There's no guarantee Rodgers would give the green light to a move elsewhere or that either team would even make a stronger offer than the Jets, but the Packers could make some calls.
