Another day goes by, and Aaron Rodgers remains the Green Bay Packers' quarterback.
The New York Jets are so confident in a Rodgers trade that GM Joe Douglas publicly promised he is on the way. It didn't feel like the best move to say that while trade negotiations are ongoing.
Today, Jets owner Woody Johnson took to Twitter, asking Jets fans who they want to see in Week 1. Presumably, he meant the Jets' schedule.
However, the responses to the tweet were entirely predictable.
Aaron Rodgers trade: Responses to Jets owner's tweet are hilariously predictable
Who do you want to see Week 1 this season? #NYJ

I don't think Jets fans are too concerned about who the Jets will be playing in Week 1, but rather who will be playing for the Jets in the season opener.
More specifically, whether a certain Aaron Rodgers will be the starting quarterback.

And there were plenty of responses like this one.

Think Jets fans are excited about trading for the soon-to-be former Packers QB?

Did Woody Johnson expect anything less?

Predictable, yet hilarious.
Aaron Rodgers trade: Why all the pressure is on Jets, not Packers to get deal done
All the pressure is on the Jets to get this deal over the line.
Packers president Mark Murphy didn't give much away when asked about the Aaron Rodgers situation. On the other side of things, the Jets have their GM promising Rodgers will be playing in New York.
They have told their fans a Hall-of-Famer is on the way. A fanbase, may I add, that has had to endure the NFL's longest active playoff drought. It has been 12 years since the Jets last reached the postseason, something trading for Aaron Rodgers all but guarantees will end.
The word "leverage" has been used an awful lot of late. But if one team has it, it's the Packers. They already have their QB1. Sure, they need the deal to happen, but not as much as the Jets.
All the pressure is on New York to get this done. You only have to read the comments to Woody Johnson's tweet to get a feel for how the Jets fanbase feels.
