Four observations from the Green Bay Packers 2023 schedule.

The Green Bay Packers' schedule for the 2023 season has been released. Matt LaFleur's team will kick things off with two straight road games, making life difficult for Jordan Love as he begins his first season as the Packers' starting quarterback.

Love and the Packers will host the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and New Orleans Saints in some exciting matchups at Lambeau Field, and they will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders. That means a matchup against Davante Adams in Week 5.

What did we learn from the Packers' schedule release? Here are four observations.

Packers schedule 2023: Green Bay to play on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving football returns for the Packers. Green Bay will visit Ford Field in a matchup with the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

It is the Packers' first game on Thanksgiving Day since 2015, when they were beaten by the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. It has been a decade since their last trip to Ford Field on Thanksgiving. Matt Flynn started at quarterback in place of an injured Aaron Rodgers, and the Packers lost 40-10.

Few teams have been hyped up as much as the Lions this offseason. Wouldn't it be fun for Jordan Love to lead the Packers into Ford Field and pull off the victory?

Green Bay hasn't been underdogs in this matchup too often over the years. It might this season.
