2. Josiah Deguara

Josiah Deguara is a free agent in the offseason, and it seems highly unlikely he will return. Deguara played only 15 offensive snaps last week against the Panthers, fewer than Tucker Kraft (61) and Ben Sims (20).

Luke Musgrave might not play this week but is nearing a return from injury. If Musgrave returns in Week 18, Deguara's snap counts will likely decrease even further.

Musgrave and Kraft are the Packers' future at tight end. Deguara plays a different role in Matt LaFleur's offense, but his opportunities have been reduced in the second half of the season. Notably, that includes during Musgrave's absence.

In the opening six games of the season, Deguara averaged 20.5 offensive snaps per game. In the seven games since, he has averaged just 7.9 snaps. Deguara had seven catches for 58 yards in the opening six games but only one reception for seven yards since.

Deguara's departure in free agency is inevitable. But if Musgrave misses this game, he has one more opportunity to impress the coaching staff. Musgrave could return in Week 18, which would likely leave Deguara with only a few snaps.

It might already be too late, but Deguara needs to make the most of his opportunities in the final two games.
