NFC North Power Rankings according to point differential
By Ryan Heckman
3. Minnesota Vikings (1-3)
Points For: 90
Points Against: 95
So far, the Minnesota Vikings' offense has not been as prolific as we thought it could be or should be, especially considering how many yards Kirk Cousins has thrown for. Cousins ranks third in the NFL with 1,214 passing yards but the Vikings' offense is in the middle of the league, averaging 22.5 points per game.
Overall, the Vikings have scored 90 points offensively and have given up 95 on defense, with their worst defensive performance coming in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles where they allowed 34 on the night.
Coming off a season in 2022 which saw the Vikings near the bottom of the league in every major defensive category, they are in the middle of the pack right now allowing 23.8 points per game.
This Sunday, we will likely see the points-for and points-against categories lifted quite a bit in Minnesota. The Vikings take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a game where Patrick Mahomes has to be highly motivated to get this offense rolling once again after struggling in Week 4 against the Jets.
