Trade Number 4: The Packers make a deal for Chase Young

Finally, we come to the Packers, who could use some help in the pass rush and run defense department. All season long, Joe Barry has been under fire for how poorly he has done with this unit. Specifically, the you-know-what hit the fan after the loss to Detroit on Thursday Night Football, where the Lions ran all over the Packers.

Detroit's defensive line pushed the Packers' line around all night long, and Green Bay could use another stud up front. That's where Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young comes into play.

Chase Young trade

The Commanders did not use the fifth-year option on Young, making it everyone's assumption that he will be gone in free agency next year. So, Washington may want to try and get something for Young rather than losing him to the open market.

In this deal, the Packers give up last year's fifth-round selection, Kingsley Enagbare, along with a fourth-round pick in 2024, to land Young. Green Bay gives Washington a rotational edge rusher who could develop into part of their future, while the Packers go all-in on chasing the Lions for the NFC North title.
