Green Bay Packers fans feared the worst when Jordan Love suffered a knee injury on one of the final plays of their season opener. Fortunately, Love avoided the disastrous scenario of a season-ending injury, but even the best-case scenario suggested a multi-game absence.

However, things couldn't have gone much better since. Not only has Love made a quick recovery from a sprained MCL, but the Packers have won both games without him.

It sets them up perfectly for a home divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings with a chance to take first place in the NFC North. And they should have their franchise quarterback available.

Packers QB Jordan Love is expected to play vs. Vikings in Week 4

Jordan Love is expected to return in Week 4 against the Vikings. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport initially reported that Love is expected to play, and the Packers' decision not to elevate Sean Clifford from the practice squad pretty much confirmed his return.

The Packers didn't promote Clifford from the practice squad, leaving only Love and Malik Willis as the available quarterbacks on game day. That confirms Green Bay is planning for Love's return, as there's no way it would enter Week 4 with one quarterback.

The wording of some tweets concerned Packers fans. For example, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Love was "expected to be active" rather than "expected to play." Fans were concerned that Love might be active but only as an emergency quarterback. However, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ended that by reporting that Love will start.

Love dropped a hint earlier in the week by revealing he was "pretty close" to playing in last week's victory over the Tennessee Titans. With a further seven days of recovery, he is now good to go in the Packers' biggest game of the season to date.

It's the perfect scenario. The Packers won both games while Love recovered, and now he's ready to return.
