Jaire Alexander isn't just one of the premier cornerbacks in the league, but also a leader for the Green Bay Packers.
Alexander praised wide receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs following the second day of minicamp on Wednesday. After Doubs scored a touchdown in his coverage, Alexander said he "gave him a hug almost."
Along with supporting his teammates, Alexander helps the entire offense improve by having to face him at practice, in the same way he was tested by Davante Adams early in his career.
That includes first-year starting quarterback Jordan Love. And this was perfectly captured as Alexander interrupted Love's press conference following practice.
Jaire Alexander's message to Jordan Love will fire up Packers fans
Jaire Alexander interrupted Jordan Love's interview following Wednesday's practice. He showed support for his new starting quarterback, but also sent him a message.
"QB1, man. Best QB in the league right now. I tell him to stop trying me, though," said Alexander.

According to Andy Herman of the Pack-A-Day podcast, Alexander intercepted Love at the end of his two-minute drill. That could be what Alexander is referring to.
More than anything, it's great to see the friendship between the two. Whether Love plays well this season or not, it's easy to see how much his teammates love him.
Some friendly competition is only a good thing, too.
Now Jaire Alexander jawing at Jordan Love. Love gives it right back as he steps into the huddle, says he can’t hear a thing. They’ll get a chance to continue that all August.

Having to throw against one of the league's best cornerbacks each day in practice is good for Love. It will help him prepare for his first regular season as the starting quarterback.
Alexander is a star cornerback, but also an excellent leader for the Packers. With a young roster and many inexperienced starters on both sides of the ball, they will need players like Alexander to lead the way.
It's fun to see his brief interaction with Love during the press conference. It's clear the new QB1 has support from the Packers' All-Pro cornerback.
