The Green Bay Packers made a smart move to extend Jordan Love before he had become the team's starting quarterback. This way, if Love struggled as the starter and the Packers wanted to move on easier, they'd have the ability to do so.

Well, the good news is that Love turned out to be a good starter in 2023, leading the Packers to the playoffs and a postseason win over the Cowboys. The bad news is that now, Love doesn't seem to want to play on the current contract.

When asked about the contract situation at OTAs, Love wasn't really sure what to say.

“I don’t really know , but we’ll see. I’m not really gonna get into too much contract stuff. . . . We’ll see. I don’t know yet. We’ll see."

Jordan Love's contract comments could worry fans

On the one hand, it's good that Love showed up to OTAs. He never confirmed if he'd stick around if a new contract agreement isn't reached but he's there right now and that's a good sign.

On the other hand, sometimes players in these situations will say something to the effect of "I want to be here so I'm not worried about it" and that wasn't where Love went here. Let's hope that by not wanting to get into the contract stuff, he doesn't think it's anything fans should worry about.
