Jordan Love reveals what Aaron Rodgers told him before Packers training camp
Aaron Rodgers might be preparing for his first season with the New York Jets, but he is still a great teammate to new Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
Rodgers knows how Love feels. He entered a similar situation in 2008. Having sat behind Brett Favre for three seasons, it was now Rodgers' time to take the reins.
Like Favre, Rodgers has moved to the Big Apple to play for the Jets. But he is still incredibly supportive of the Packers and his former teammate.
The Packers completed their first training camp practice on Wednesday, beginning a new chapter with Love.
Following practice, Love revealed to reporters details of his conversation with Rodgers before the start of training camp.

Love told reporters that Rodgers reached out on the eve of the Packers' first training camp practice, sharing some advice with his successor.
"Aaron reached out to me last night, and that's exactly what he said. He said, 'Just be yourself. Have fun. Enjoy it.' It's obviously my time now, and he just said, 'Be yourself," Love said, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.
It's good advice from No. 12. Love will inevitably get compared to Rodgers, just as Rodgers was compared to Favre. But it's important for Love to be himself and play his way.
Rodgers understands Love's situation. No matter how frustrating things were for Rodgers with the Packers, he never took it out on Love. Being in the same boat at the start of his career helped Rodgers understand how Love felt.
Rodgers has plenty to focus on as he prepares for his first season with the Jets. To take the time to support Love is amazing.
While Rodgers aims to win the second Super Bowl of his career on a new team, Love's mission is to prove the Packers right for drafting him in the first round. Winning now isn't necessary, but the Packers will want to see encouraging signs from Love in year one.
He has the support of the former QB1.
