Josh Jacobs tried (and failed) to bring All-Pro with him to Packers

A for effort.

It's been a big day for Davante Adams. The former Packers star has made just a few headlines for an interview he did with Kay Adams where he, among other things, basically started a giant beef with the Chargers' social media team.

There was, however, a notable Packers-related moment from the two Adams' chat. And it involves Josh Jacobs apparently trying to recruit Adams back to Green Bay? Don't get too excited.

"Yeah, that was true, he did send [a text] over," Adams confirmed. "I mean, Josh is one of my best friends. First of all, he's hilarious. People don't know how funny he is. It was definitely a joke, but it was one of those jokes where he was serious, because he definitely would like that. But I told him, 'You go ahead and hold it down, and I'm going to hold it down over here.' I don't think I'll be coming back over there. You never know what's going to happen ... if they ship me off, there's not much I can do about it. But I'm a Raider."

This is such a confusing quote. It's a joke, but it's not a joke? He's never coming back to Green Bay, unless he does? This is toying with Packers fans emotions in a way that was previously only reserved for Aaron Rodgers. Maybe it'd be better for fans health if they just assumed that everyone who left the Packers was never coming back again. And stopped drafting them to their fantasy football teams. And pretended they just retired.

So there you have it: Davante Adams isn't coming back to Green Bay. I know that you weren't really worried about that when you woke up, but then, for a second there, you were. But you don't need to be, because it's not happening. Unless the Raiders trade him back to the Packers. Then it would be happening. Look, it's better than blogging about darkness retreats.
