Forget becoming the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history. Ignore the MVP numbers from the second half of last season or the near-perfect passer rating in his playoff debut.

Jordan Love is just an average quarterback, according to the Madden 25 video game.

Love finished second in the NFL for passing touchdowns with 32. In the final eight games, he ranked third in touchdown passes, fourth in completion percentage, fourth in passing yards, second in passer rating, and only threw one interception.

Factoring in all the great work from last season, Love must have a great overall rating in Madden 25, right?

Apparently not.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love disrespected with 81 overall rating in Madden 25

EA Sports released their quarterback ratings for this year's game, and Love's overall score is just 81. That's 15th at the position. All that elite-level quarterback play we saw last year? It may as well have never happened. And if you need further proof, take a look at C.J. Stroud's identical overall rating of 81.

In their playoff debuts, Love and Stroud combined for a 76.2 completion percentage, 546 passing yards, six touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 157.2 rating. They both had near-perfect performances.

But in Madden 25, Love and Stroud sit behind Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, and Jared Goff.

It's at least an upgrade on last year when Love was given an overall rating of 70 to begin the season. It made sense back then, as he had only made one career start. After becoming the highest-paid quarterback in the league, it's hard to understand why he is still being overlooked.

Once again, the former first-round pick will have to prove his doubters wrong. Packers fans should feel optimistic based on how he is playing at training camp.
