6. Cleveland Browns

Cleveland's offense still needs work, but its defense dominated Cincinnati in Week 1. The Bengals finished with only 67 passing yards and 75 rushing yards and went 2-of-15 on third down. An outstanding performance from the Browns' defense.

5. Philadelphia Eagles

It's never easy to win at New England, but the defending NFC champions found a way. Great teams win even when they aren't at their best, and the Eagles did this in Week 1. A good start for Philadelphia.

4. Detroit Lions

The Lions made a statement in Week 1, going to Arrowhead Stadium and beating the Super Bowl champions. It will give this team tremendous confidence moving forward, and they have a chance to back it up with consecutive home games.

3. Miami Dolphins

Miami's offense showed why it can be the best in football. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 466 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, with Tyreek Hill making 11 catches for 215 yards and two scores. If the Dolphins trade for Jonathan Taylor, look out.

2. San Francisco 49ers

Wow. What a dominant performance. San Francisco forced two turnovers, sacked Kenny Pickett five times, and limited the Steelers to seven points on the road. The 49ers are one of the most complete teams in the NFL, and they made a statement.

1. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas may have the best defense in football. The Cowboys sacked Daniel Jones seven times, forced three turnovers, and shut out the Giants in their own stadium. Their defense and special teams contributed with two touchdowns. You won't see a more dominant performance all season.
