Packers will win if Jaire Alexander shuts down Drake London

There are not many cornerbacks in the NFL that can hold a candle to Jaire Alexander. A first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2018, Alexander is a two-time Pro Bowler and has earned second-team All-Pro honors twice. Alexander is the definition of a shutdown corner.

But the University of Louisville product will have his hands full on Sunday against an Atlanta Falcons passing attack that was held in check last week against the Carolina Panthers.

Falcons star wideout, and a former first-round pick in his own right, Drake London didn't record a single catch in Atlanta's Week 1 win over Carolina. Furthermore, London was only targeted once by quarterback Desmond Ridder.

Don't expect that to happen in Week 2. Ridder barely threw for over 100 yards against the Panthers, but that's unlikely to happen against Green Bay. The Falcons will be looking to get London involved early, so Alexander had better come ready to play on Sunday.

There are bound to be times when Rasul Douglas is matched up against Drake London, and the Packers defense will have to keep an eye on tight end Kyle Pitts as well, but Green Bay has to keep a lid on the Falcons offense. The best way to do that is to keep London in check.
