1. Packers could surprisingly cut or trade Samori Toure

For a while, it looked like Samori Toure would compete for a starting job as the Packers' WR3. But he has been outplayed by Jayden Reed and undrafted rookie Malik Heath. Romeo Doubs missed the final preseason game due to injury, with Heath starting over Toure in his place.

"Toure looks like he's the slot with the 2s which would make him roughly WR5 at best. With Wicks and DuBose near locks if healthy to make the 53, I won't be surprised if GB decided they can't afford to keep Toure," writes Peter Bukowski of The Leap.

It's an interesting point. Toure hasn't had a great preseason.

While it still seems likely the Packers will find room for their second-year receiver, it's not necessarily the guarantee we once thought it was. Releasing or trading Toure would still come as a surprise, but it is a conversation to be had.

Christian Watson and Doubs are the Packers' top two, while Reed is a starter. Rookie Dontayvion Wicks will make the roster, and Heath has just about guaranteed his spot.

Could it come down to Toure and rookie Grant DuBose for the final roster spot? The Packers could move on from their 2022 seventh-round draft choice.
