Winner: Carrington Valentine

What more can we say about Carrington Valentine? The rookie cornerback is one of the Packers' surprise standouts at training camp, and he put on a show in the preseason opener.

Valentine finished the game with four tackles, three pass defenses, and one interception, an impressive performance from the seventh-round rookie.

But it's not surprising. Valentine has turned heads at practice, making excellent plays with regularity.

"Carrington Valentine has some Rasul Douglas knack for the football to him. Always playing the ball, doesn't panic with his chances. Impressive for a rookie," writes Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Valentine had already done enough to guarantee a roster spot, but he could begin the season as the Packers' CB4 until Eric Stokes returns.

The rookie has shown his ability to play on the boundary, but he could also become an option in the slot. Wherever he lines up, it's evident that Valentine has talent, and the Packers may have found one of the steals of the draft by landing him in the seventh round.

Valentine impressed during the offseason. He backed it up with a strong start to training camp, and now he has put in an outstanding performance in his preseason debut.
