The Green Bay Packers completed a joint practice with the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of their preseason matchup this week.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur schedules joint practices most years, and the team will host the New England Patriots next week.

It provides both teams with an opportunity to have a competitive practice that isn't against your own players. The joint practice may hold more value to the Packers than the upcoming preseason game.

What did we learn from Wednesday's practice with the Bengals? Here are four standouts and one dud for the Packers.

Standout: Jordan Love

While it wasn't a dominant performance from Jordan Love, he held his own against an excellent Bengals defense.

Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated named Love the Packers' player of the day, noting that he "played with poise."

Huber wrote: "He never looked rattled. Aside from the receiver-screen-turned-interception, Love kept the football out of harm's way. He threw three pinpoint-perfect passes on deep shots. He even threw a no-look completion to Romeo Doubs."

The Packers can be pleased with Love's work against the Bengals, and it follows a similar pattern to the rest of the summer. It was an up-and-down day for Love, but he held his own, made several impressive plays, and didn't make many costly errors.

Love threw a beautiful touchdown pass down the sideline to Romeo Doubs, a connection we will see a lot this season.
