4 winners (and 1 loser) for Packers in Week 1 win over Bears
Winner: Aaron Jones
Sunday's game followed a similar pattern to recent years. The entire Packers offense finds its rhythm when Aaron Jones is on the field. He made plays as a runner and receiver on Sunday, and the Bears had no answer for him.
Jones only had nine carries, but he made the most of them to put up 41 yards and a touchdown at 4.6 yards per attempt. He led the Packers in receiving with 86 yards and a touchdown on only two catches. Jones scored a 51-yard receiving touchdown to put the Packers in control of the game early in the third quarter.
The Packers need to make Jones the focus of the offense. He can do everything. When the team needs to find rhythm on the ground, Jones often makes it happen. When they need a first down or touchdown through the air, they can trust Jones to get the job done.
Jones suffered a hamstring injury at the end of his touchdown catch, but the hope is he won't have to miss any time. Even after missing the end of the game, Jones still put up outstanding numbers.
Jones is a star. He made a game-winning contribution for the Packers in Week 1.
