4 winners (and 2 losers) for Packers in Week 2 loss to Falcons
Winner: Jordan Love
The Packers should have won the game. They outplayed the Falcons for three quarters, and Jordan Love is a big reason why. Even without Christian Watson and Aaron Jones, Love put in yet another impressive performance.
He made good decisions, read the defense well, and looked comfortable in the pocket, even in a loud environment. Love finished the game with 151 yards and three touchdowns, earning a passer rating of 113.5.
Love found a rhythm and looked at ease. He would have far more than 151 yards passing had it not been for two pass-interference penalties. Atlanta gave up a combined 87 yards on penalties. Both throws could've been caught for significant gains otherwise.
It wasn't a perfect performance. He was lucky not to have an interception in the second half. But overall, the Packers have to be delighted with what they have seen from Love in his first two starts. He has completed 29 of 52 passes for 396 yards, six touchdowns, and no interceptions, with a passer rating of 118.8.
And it's important to remember that the Packers have one of the most inexperienced receiving rooms in the league and have been without Christian Watson for two games. Love deserves a lot of credit.
