2. Patrick Taylor

We don't know which direction the Packers will go in at RB3, but it seems likely they will opt for Patrick Taylor ahead of Emanuel Wilson and Tyler Goodson.

Taylor is the safe bet due to his ability to play special teams, but it doesn't mean it is the right choice. When it comes to rushing, Taylor certainly hasn't outperformed the other two.

Wilson has dominated in the preseason, rushing for 174 yards and two touchdowns in only two games. Goodson has put together an impressive training camp, just as he did a year earlier. Either player could contribute on offense should Aaron Jones or AJ Dillon miss time.

Taylor is a solid blocker and plays on special teams, so it's understandable why the Packers like him.

But he isn't likely to make a significant contribution on offense if one of the top two running backs gets hurt. He carried 10 times for 31 yards last year. In the preseason this summer, Taylor has carried 10 times for 31 yards and a touchdown. At least he is consistent.

Despite being outplayed by Wilson and Goodson, Taylor is likely to earn the RB3 job ahead of them due to his special teams ability.
