Packers 53-man roster prediction before training camp: Who misses out?
- Predicting the Packers' 53-man roster ahead of training camp
- Rashan Gary and Eric Stokes begin on PUP list
- Five wide receivers, six safeties
Following one of the most fascinating offseasons in recent memory, the Green Bay Packers are ready to begin training camp.
Over the next six weeks, the Packers will determine which players to keep on their initial 53-man roster to begin the regular season. Plenty of positional battles will take place, leaving Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst with big decisions.
Balancing the 53-man roster is never easy. The Packers have to decide not only on their 53 best players, but also how many players they need at each position. They will also think about players they can release and have the best chance of re-signing to the practice squad.
With training camp kicking off this week, we're going to attempt to predict the Packers' 53-man roster.

Quarterback (2)
Jordan Love, Sean Clifford
Rookie Sean Clifford is the favorite to back up Jordan Love, but he will need to earn the job over the next month or so. Clifford faces competition from Danny Etling and recently-signed USFL MVP Alex McGough.
Ultimately, Clifford is probably the best choice unless the Packers sign a veteran like Teddy Bridgewater or Carson Wentz.
Neither of the Packers' backup quarterbacks has thrown a pass in the regular season. Green Bay should consider adding a veteran.
