Safeties (5)

Darnell Savage, Rudy Ford, Tarvarius Moore, Dallin Leavitt, Anthony Johnson Jr.

The Packers are in a strange position at safety. They have excellent depth, but it's unclear who will start next to Darnell Savage. Rudy Ford is likely the frontrunner, as he started six games last season. Tarvarius Moore and Dallin Leavitt play mainly on special teams.

Seventh-round pick Anthony Johnson Jr. could be a future starter, but it's unclear whether he will be able to win a starting job in year one. He is more likely to be a backup in his rookie season.

Tariq Carpenter is also a candidate to make the Packers' roster. He was a key special teams contributor last year.

Maybe Green Bay re-signs Adrian Amos, but they do have plenty of talent at safety.

Special teams (3)

Anders Carlson, Pat O'Donnell, Matt Orzech

Green Bay drafted kicker Anders Carlson, which likely means Mason Crosby's legendary career with the Packers is over. The team hasn't ruled out re-signing Crosby, but it seems unlikely.

However, there's no guarantee that Carlson will be the kicker in Week 1. He will need to win the job this summer.

Pat O'Donnell returns at punter, but the Packers made a change at long snapper in free agency, signing Matt Orzech.
