Packers 53-man roster predictions following 2023 NFL Draft
Tight ends (4)
Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, Josiah Deguara, Tyler Davis
It's a similar story at tight end. The position was already an area of need at the start of the offseason, even before the Packers lost starters Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis in free agency. Green Bay added two athletic tight ends with huge upside on the opening two days of the draft.
Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft both have great size and athleticism. Musgrave is 6-foot-6, 253 pounds, with a Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 9.78 out of 10. Kraft is 6-foot-5, 254 pounds, with an RAS of 9.68.
Together, they can form an outstanding starting combination. The sky is the limit for Musgrave, particularly as a receiver. Kraft can do a bit of everything in the Packers' offense.
Green Bay now has excellent depth at the position. Former third-round pick Josiah Deguara and Tyler Davis offer depth, but they are no longer required to take on the TE1 and TE2 roles.
Tight ends don't often enter the NFL and dominate from year one. It takes time. But the Packers are building for the future, and they have added two of the best tight ends in the draft class, and both have huge potential.
