Packers 53-man roster predictions with depth chart after minicamp 2023
Running back (3)
- Aaron Jones
- AJ Dillon
- Tyler Goodson
The only thing the Packers need to figure out here is who wins the RB3 job. They surprisingly only kept two running backs on their initial 53-man roster last summer, so we can't rule out a similar move again.
Second-year Tyler Goodson has received praise throughout the offseason program, giving him a slight advantage over the other running backs competing for the job. He will need to beat Patrick Taylor and rookie Lew Nichols III for the job.
Wide receiver (6)
- Christian Watson
- Romeo Doubs
- Jayden Reed
- Samori Toure
- Dontayvion Wicks
- Malik Heath
Our first surprise comes at wide receiver. If the Packers opt to keep six, it may not include draft pick Grant DuBose.
It's still early, and all of training camp and the preseason are still to come, but undrafted rookie Malik Heath has been turning heads during the offseason program. DuBose, meanwhile, hasn't practiced. The missed reps won't help him, and he quickly needs to get up to speed once training camp begins.
It should make for a fascinating battle over the summer, but Heath has made the perfect start. He has spent time with the starters at practice, a great sign for his chances of making the 53.
