Defensive line (5)

Kenny Clark, Devonte Wyatt, T.J. Slaton, Colby Wooden, Karl Brooks

Defensive tackle is another position where the Packers have gotten younger. They moved on from veteran starters Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry in the offseason, which should earn Devonte Wyatt an increase in snaps.

Wyatt, a first-rounder a year ago, impressed in a backup role as a rookie. Given an opportunity in the final few games of last season, Wyatt showed he is ready.

Green Bay drafted Colby Wooden and Karl Brooks, two versatile linemen who can take on a number of roles. Brooks can play at edge rusher, although he'll likely spend most of his time inside for the Packers.

Edge rusher (5)

Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Lukas Van Ness, Kingsley Enagbare, Justin Hollins

It's unclear when Rashan Gary will be ready to return from injury. If he misses time, first-round pick Lukas Van Ness could start games early on. When fully healthy, Gary and Preston Smith will likely be the starters on the outside while Van Ness develops in a backup role.

There will be opportunities to get them all on the field together, as Van Ness can move inside.

Gary's return, along with the addition of Van Ness, will give the Packers' pass rush a significant boost in 2023.
