Green Bay Packers 53-man roster predictions after OTAs
Running back (3)
- Aaron Jones
- AJ Dillon
- Patrick Taylor
No changes at the top of the running back depth chart. Aaron Jones took a pay cut this offseason and returns for another year. AJ Dillon is entering the final season of his rookie contract, so he has a lot to play for in 2023.
The top storyline this summer is the No. 3 job. Tyler Goodson impressed during OTAs, but he faces competition from Patrick Taylor and rookie Lew Nichols III. The player who can contribute the most on special teams and in pass protection may win the job. Last year that was Taylor.
Wide receiver (5)
- Christian Watson
- Romeo Doubs
- Jayden Reed
- Samori Toure
- Dontayvion Wicks
The Packers could keep six wide receivers, but we haven't seen Grant DuBose yet and there's a lot of reason to be optimistic about this group.
Romeo Doubs was one of the Packers' standout performers at OTAs, and he is quickly building a connection with Jordan Love. Jayden Reed had plenty of first-team reps, while Samori Toure continues to receive praise from head coach Matt LaFleur.
This is a talented group with sky-high upside. The Packers could happily keep five receivers on the 53 unless a player on the roster bubble has a strong preseason. Rookie DuBose will have that opportunity when he returns from injury.
