Round 2 (42): Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia

The Packers continue to get help for Jordan Love in the second round, fixing a major need at tight end. Georgia's Darnell Washington is one of the best athletes in the entire class, and he enters the NFL with tremendous upside.

Matt LaFleur will love Washington's blocking ability. With Allen Lazard and Marcedes Lewis gone, the Packers need to add a talented blocker. That's where Washington can help.

"Washington has tremendous value because he functions as a sixth offensive lineman in the run game and he's a moving billboard in the passing game," wrote NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah.

His blocking ability already makes Washington a safe pick for the Packers. But he can offer so much more than that. With his size and athleticism, he can become a difference-maker as a receiver, too.

Washington earned a Relative Athletic Score of 9.88 out of 10. Even at 6-foot-7, 264 pounds, he ran an impressive 4.64-second 40-yard dash. He led all tight ends in the 20-yard shuttle and tied for second in the 10-yard split.

Washington is a perfect fit for the LaFleur system. If the Packers select Smith-Njigba and Washington with their top two picks, they could skip the rest of the draft and still earn an A+ grade. This would be a dream start.
