Round 2 (45): Keion White, EDGE, Georgia Tech

It gets even better. Having given Jordan Love plenty of help with their opening two picks, the Packers switch their focus to the defense. In need of a pass rusher, they select Georgia Tech's Keion White.

White still needs time to develop, but he is 6-foot-5, 285 pounds, an outstanding athlete, and has the potential to become a star pass rusher in the NFL.

He only made the switch from tight end to defensive end in 2019 while he was at Old Dominion. In his final season at Georgia Tech, he made 7.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

Bucky Brooks of NFL.com has White ranked fifth among edge defenders in this year's class.

"White plays like a bull in a china shop, utilizing an assortment of power maneuvers to create chaos in the backfield. The Georgia Tech standout overwhelms blockers with his relentless approach and non-stop energy," Brooks wrote.

White would enter a similar situation to Rashan Gary when the Packers drafted him in 2019. He wouldn't need to start this season. He could begin as a backup behind Gary and Preston Smith as he develops his game.

The Packers love to draft elite athletes at premium positions. White checks every box. He can become an excellent player.
