The Green Bay Packers are well positioned in the 2023 NFL Draft to trade up.

General manager Brian Gutekunst hasn't shied away from making aggressive trade-ups in the past. When a prospect he loves falls far enough in the draft, he will do whatever it takes to trade up to get them.

There are plenty of examples of that, including Jaire Alexander, Darnell Savage, Jordan Love, and Christian Watson. Three of those trades were made in the first round, the other early in the second.

In the 2023 NFL Draft, which prospects would be worth moving up for?

Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

Overview

Tyree Wilson is the best pass rusher in the class not named Will Anderson Jr. He is talented enough to get picked inside the top five, but with an expected run on quarterbacks early, Wilson could fall far enough for the Packers to make a move.

Wilson has star potential and could dominate at edge rusher alongside Rashan Gary. He made seven sacks in each of his past two seasons at Texas Tech. He is an excellent pass rusher, but also a strong run defender.

If the Packers are looking for a player at a premium position who can make an immediate impact with Pro Bowl potential, Tyree Wilson checks every box.
