Overview

Another player from the Ohio State offense could land in Green Bay. Tackle Paris Johnson Jr. may fall to the Packers at No. 15, but I wouldn't bank on it. Johnson is arguably the best tackle prospect in the class, making him a top-10 candidate.

The Packers may feel pretty confident about their tackle situation. David Bakhtiari is back, and he looked great when healthy in 2022. Yosh Nijman and Zach Tom can compete for the right tackle job, while Elgton Jenkins can play there if needed.

But Johnson would be a great trade-up target for two reasons.

In 2023, he would give the Packers an upgrade at right tackle. Looking at the bigger picture, he could be the team's long-term starter at left tackle.

And to make it even better, Johnson can also play at guard. The Packers love to draft offensive linemen who can play at multiple positions. Johnson can do that. Not only would he start from Day 1, but he could also cover at guard if needed.

In an ideal world, Johnson will still be on the board when the Packers hit the clock at 15th overall. But if Brian Gutekunst believes Johnson is worth trading up for, he should do it. There's a good chance he will be gone before Green Bay's selection, so moving up would be necessary.
