The Green Bay Packers lost their sixth game of the season and their fourth by one score. There were more positives to take away from this performance compared to others, including the play of Jordan Love and the rookie pass-catchers.

However, there were still too many mistakes, and the Packers paid the price. Penalties remain a major issue for Matt LaFleur's team -- they committed five -- as do dropped passes.

There's no such thing as moral victories, but the win-loss column isn't the be-all and end-all for the Packers this year. They aren't Super Bowl contenders. What's more important is signs of progress from the young players. From that perspective, there were several positives for Green Bay in Week 10.

Despite that, these three Packers contributed to the team's downfall against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

3. Christian Watson

We haven't seen the best of Christian Watson this season, nowhere near it.

Love targeted Watson seven times but completed only two for 23 yards and a pair of interceptions. It would be unfair to pin the blame for the two turnovers on Watson. He could've done better on the first, but Love made a risky throw, and Patrick Peterson made a phenomenal play to tip it in the air to Keanu Neal.

But beyond the interceptions, Watson isn't playing well enough. The Packers expected him to be a game-changer with his size, speed, and athleticism. We haven't seen it this season.

Drops have been an issue for Watson this season, and he had another on third down against the Steelers. Love has thrown 10 interceptions, with five coming on passes intended for Watson. Again, that's not all Watson's fault, but the two lack chemistry.

Watson has lacked the physicality to win contested catches, but he also isn't getting the ball in space to make the most of his lightning speed.

Green Bay's young offense needs Watson to become a significant contributor. He stepped up in the second half of last season, and the Packers need something similar from their former second-round pick in 2023.
